High Strength Modified PBT/PET Alloy Resin for Automotive Connectors and Electrical Components-Baekeland (Xiamen)
Baekeland (Xiamen) Modified PBT/PET Alloy Resin is an advanced engineering plastic made by blending polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in a controlled ratio, often enhanced with glass fiber, flame retardants, impact modifiers, or UV stabilizers.
This material inherits the excellent chemical resistance and dimensional stability of PBT, while benefiting from PET’s superior mechanical strength and thermal resistance. The result is a high-performance polymer alloy suitable for automotive electrical systems, EV connectors, high-precision industrial parts, and appliance components.
Key Features:
✅ High mechanical strength – ideal for structural and load-bearing applications
✅ Excellent dimensional stability – minimal warping, low shrinkage
✅ Superior chemical and hydrolysis resistance – suitable for harsh environments
✅ Flame retardant grades available – compliant with UL94 V-0
✅ Enhanced thermal performance – HDT up to 200°C (with GF)
✅ Good electrical insulation – widely used in connectors, switches, terminals
✅ Recyclability – compatible with sustainability goals
